Tiffany & Co's 1st Quarter Earnings up 25%
This past Thursday, the Tiffany stock closed with their 1st Quarter Earnings up 25%!
The company has been doing really well lately despite the latest economic problems.
Their revenue was $633.6 million last year and was predicted to reach $702.6 million. However, it was a shock when it reached $761 million, a 20% increase.
In Japan, despite the recent disaster, had a sales increase by 7%. In the Americas, where most sales take place, sales increased by 19% to $374.7 million. Revenue in the Asian-Pacific region grew by a whopping 37%.
Stocks are expected to increase by about three and a half American dollars this year along with the opening of 19 new stores.
Is this a sign that the economy is improving?
